Defence signs $720m Microsoft deal, its largest ever


The Defence department is set to spend as much as $720 million on Microsoft software over the next five years under its largest-ever volume sourcing deal with the company.

Signed through the whole-of-government volume sourcing arrangement, the contract takes the total value of Microsoft licensing deals with licence reseller Data#3 to more than $2.5 billion since the start of July.
