Accenture paid $11m for six months cloud work at Defence

Defence has handed Accenture more than $11 million to continue work on its enterprise cloud capability over the next six months, ahead of plans to outsource cloud operations.

The consulting giant was awarded the latest in a series of extensions to its “cloud capability” contract late last month, bringing the total value of the deal to just over $66 million.

The extension follows separate contracts with Microsoft and AWS last month to help the department migrate several workloads and data to the same multi-cloud environment managed by Accenture.
