DTA extends Oracle deal as contracts surge $100m

The Digital Transformation Agency has extended its whole-of-government sourcing deal with global tech giant Oracle, capping off a year in which the value of the arrangement grew almost $100 million.

Last week, the DTA confirmed the arrangement with the vendor – first signed in November 2020 – had been extended by a further 24 months, meaning it will now run until at least November 2025.

Michelle Tuck, the DTA’s branch manager for Digital Sourcing, told InnovationAus.com the extension option was exercised to “ensure continuity of service for the Commonwealth”, which relies on Oracle for numerous government services.
