DTA renews AWS mega-deal on eve of single-sourcing review

The federal government has inked a fresh cloud sourcing arrangement with Amazon Web Services just weeks before all seven of its technology mega-deals are set to be reviewed.

The Digital Transformation Agency revealed the latest iteration of the whole of government deal late on Friday, extending its relationship with the cloud computing giant for another three years at an undisclosed value.

The new arrangement comes after similar single-sourcing arrangements with Microsoft and Rimini Street, collectively worth almost $1 billion over the past five years, were prolonged for 12 months.
