No end in sight for TAFE NSW’s Oracle rollout

A long-running project to replace TAFE NSW’s student management system remains incomplete more than five years after it began, with the public training provider missing the planned completion last month.

But despite missing the go-live, and providing no new timeline for when the system might be delivered in its entirety, TAFE NSW remains committed to Oracle as its platform of choice for the overhaul.

The latest chapter of the project dates back to October 2017, when TAFE NSW sought to replace its Tribal EBS system management system (SMS), introduced as part of the state’s infamous Learning Management and Business Reform program.
