Palantir handed $7.6m contract to map Australia’s Defence industry

Controversial US tech firm Palantir is mapping Australia’s defence industry capability and capacity for the government under a $7.6 million deal that was handed to the supplier without competition this month.

The arrangement, which represents Palantir’s largest contract with Defence, has raised concerns about continuing to engage a company that is enabling Donald Trump’s deportation program and the Israeli military campaign in Gaza.
