Queensland quietly scraps quantum advisory council


The Queensland government has quietly scrapped its quantum advisory council, leaving the state without a dedicated forum for industry voices just as new infrastructure comes online.

Quantum Innovation Queensland (QIQ) was set up by the former Palaszczuk government in October 2023 to help grow the state’s quantum ecosystem and monitor progress on its quantum and advanced technologies strategy.
