NDIA mulls tech overhaul after procurement scandal

The National Disability Insurance Agency is considering an overhaul of its technology stack that could see it abandon a scandal linked Salesforce system after investing almost $150 million in the software.

The agency will on Thursday meet with vendors to canvas options for several potential tech upgrades and synergies, including new architecture, claims processing, debt management, participant and provider portals, and a new “core CRM”.

The current NDIS CRM is a Salesforce system that has ballooned in cost to at least $143 million after being procured at only $29 million in 2020.
