Deloitte will be paid close to $1 million to devise a plan for the tax office’s enterprise resource planning overhaul as part of the federal government’s latest attempt to replace its back office systems.
The Australian Taxation Office entered a contract with the consulting giant late last year, joining other federal agencies also drawing up plans, including a consortium led by the Finance department.
Deloitte will deliver a modernisation strategy, future state design and roadmap for the ATO, which a spokesperson said will build on previous work by the agency to “understand our ERP requirements as part of GovERP”.
