A handful of federal agencies have begun drawing up plans to replace their enterprise resource planning systems in the wake of the government’s disastrous $340 million GovERP project.
As the deadline to replace legacy SAP ERP systems rapidly approaches, five departments, including a consortium led by the Department of Finance, have kicked off initial planning work, ahead of a call for funding.
The departments have used a series of requests through the Digital Marketplace to better understand the government ERP market, which until last year had been all but locked up with SAP.
