The Albanese government’s in-house consultancy will be up and running by the end of the year, with around 20 staff providing professional services and focusing on building capability and connecting expertise across the public service.

With a budget of nearly $11 million over two years, the in-house consultancy will ramp up to a staffing level of 38 in 2024/25.

The consultancy will have a similar structure to other divisions within the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet (PMC), with a senior executive at the helm.
