Services Australia has begun piloting Microsoft Copilot with staff just weeks before the federal government is slated to wrap up its six-month trial of the generative artificial intelligence tool.
The agency responsible for Centrelink and Medicare joined the trial earlier this month after initially electing not to use the AI-powered assistant capable of automating tasks and creating content within Microsoft’s suite of productivity apps.
As revealed by InnovationAus.com earlier this year, Services Australia was one of only two of Canberra’s big four agencies to sit out of the trial when it began in January, the other being the Defence department.
