Services Australia inks $226m data centre deal

Services Australia will pay the largest provider of data centre services to the federal government almost $4 million per month over the next five years under a new hosting deal.

The government’s main service delivery agency struck the $226 million contract with CDC Data Centres earlier this month, extending its decade-long relationship with the company to at least 2030.

It brings the cost of the arrangement past the $650 million mark, and the value of CDC’s federal government work more broadly to more than $1.5 billion, up from $858 million just three years ago.
