NDIS Salesforce CRM blows out by $68m despite ‘price certainty’

The cost of the National Disability Insurance Scheme’s new Salesforce customer relationship management system has blown out by more than 100 per cent, documents obtained by InnovationAus.com reveal.

The $68.1 million blow-out comes despite the contract with the cloud-based software firm supposedly providing “price certainty” to the agency responsible for the NDIS.

Documents obtained under Freedom of Information laws reveal that the CRM system, which is yet to be rolled out, was originally slated to cost $32.4 million for its first three years, with the option to extend for another two years at a cost of $23.5 million.
